About Baabushka
Hi, I’m Aga!
I’m the person behind Baabushka.
I grew up in Poland with a strong family tradition of craftsmanship. My Grandma taught me how to knit when I was eight. She made leather slippers and sold them at the local market. I remember watching her work and admiring her incredible artisanship. Now, thirty years later, I have launched a wool (baa) brand that embraces the traditions my Grandma (Babushka) taught me.
I love the idea of helping people in need, and that’s why it has been important for me to support women artisans in Nepal. Baabushka pays fair trade prices that ensure that these amazing women can send their kids to good schools and provide for their future.
Using all-natural and sustainable materials like wool, leather and rubber, they create handcrafted slippers that keep your feet warm and cozy. Every slipper has a personal signature stitch on it that gives you the opportunity to meet the maker of your slipper.
Baabushka also donates a percentage of sales to Global Citizen, a non-profit, that works around the world with the goal of ending extreme poverty.
I’m truly humbled and honored that you’re considering Baabushka’s products. With your help, we will all make a difference.
